Happy Friday day! Welcome to another episode of What's Up at Ninja Kiwi!   This week is like any other in many ways, but would any other week have updates for multiple games!? Very possibly, but here are our updates.   Bloons TD 5 The blooniest of TD 5 games has been updated on iOS and Android. Hi everybody, welcome to another Friday update, where you can usually find out a little of what's been happening around Ninja Kiwi and see the answers to some of life's biggest questions.Last week's Bloons Monkey City update caused some players' City Honor to reset to zero (or nearer zero than it should be). We believe the bug has been fixed now and players that have reported it happening to them are being fixed up. If you ran into this, and have yet to let us know (or are still having issues wi... read more

This week at Ninja Kiwi has been a quiet one. In Auckland at least. Though because I can't hear Dundee from here I'll assume they've been quiet too.   The reason is that the Game Developer's Conference has been on, and a few important representatives of Ninja Kiwi flew over to San Francisco to take part in seeing all the cool things us normal folk have to wait for.  SAS: Zombie Assault 4 Over the weekend before GDC we released the first trailer for SAS: Zombie Assault 4. If you did... read more

Hello, hello. It's nice to see you again. Here's another blog post that I hope you enjoy.SAS: Zombie Assault 4 Milestone! In the late hours of yesterday afternoon we passed a tremendous milestone in SAS4's development. We managed to play two multi-player missions back to back without crashes, errors or anyone needing to refresh the game.   SAS 4 is getting into shape faster than an Extra Fast Runner. Everyone in the office is jumping at the opportunity to hop into matchmaking to play a f... read more

As some of you have noticed, there's been a lack of blog posts these last couple of weeks. While I can't begin to explain the exact reasons for things, some server changes/movements meant the old Blog Post Editor(tm) was not working. I've got a new one now though, so things should be back on track. This week's update is on a Thursday (for me, Wednesday for a lot of you) because we have a public holiday tomorrow. The holiday in question is called Anzac Day and it is a day on... read more

Last week's blog post was jam-packed with information because of the few week blogging hiatus. This week will be smaller by far, but hopefully the more dense morsels of knowledge getting flung will be appreciated nonetheless. Next week's blog post should hopefully have a few words of wisdom from one of our newest Ninjas at NK that you may have seen around a particular beta.   Temple of the Monkey God: What's it all about? The Temple in Bloons TD 5 has been the subject o... read more

This week at Ninja Kiwi we've been playing a lot of SAS: ZA 4. There's always a fair bit being played every day, but this week has been especially zombieful. We've been working hard at getting the game balance more or less in the right place (there's always room for tweaks later!) and now we're getting a stable build ready for open access. That means full access for anyone visiting ninjakiwi.com and, more importantly for our current testers, using your real Ninja Kiw... read more

This week, SAS: Zombie Assault 4 was quietly released. For those of you who weren't aware, click this picture to take you to the game. A soft release means we can better handle the influx of players, make sure that our server scaling is working as it should and more smoothly announce the game when we're happy. This is just another step in a series of announcements to open the game up to a wider player base. There's a lot to say about SAS4, but for now you should just go pla... read more
