What's up blog readers? Thanks for stopping by today, whatever day that may be for you.
Everybody is back at Ninja Kiwi HQ now and we've got all fingers working at keyboards and styluses to bring you updates across a wide range of games. First off the update train at this stage looks like it'll be...
SAS Zombie Assault 4 Web
The next update for SAS4 is deep in testing and there's a whole bunch of wicked awesome content in there waiting for you to discover. It's on the same level as the Weapons/Armour Expansion Pack and Masteries updates and there are some oft-requested features (but not the skill reset) on the way, along with some more of our own ideas and the usual bucket full of bug fixes and optimisations.
One new feature in particular is a new mode akin to Raids in MMO games. You'll have limited opportunities every day to play through the nightmarishly hard missions to get truly powerful loot that'll make all the others jealous. This isn't for the light-hearted among you, you'll need skill, teamwork and more than your fair share of gumption to make it through to the end with your prize tucked in your back pocket. Some of you won't survive, but that's a sacrifice we're willing to make.
SAS 4 Wall Jumpers Anonymous
A bug fix for wall jumping (called continuous collisions) won't be ready for this update, so I'd like to take this empty space to let you all know: if you are reported wall-jumping out of the map in SAS Zombie Assault 4 you will receive a warning and continued exploitation of the glitch will result in a ban until we able to patch the exploit. It's not a habit of ours to ban players for exploiting something in the game. Usually it's something we can fix quickly or not too damaging, but this particular exploit too easily ruins the experience for other players and we don't want that happening.
Questions from the Comments:
Anything different about the Ninja Kiwi website now that it's out of beta?
Nope, not at all. Though we did update the home page a couple days ago. Just a small change to make it easier to find the more commonly played games. Still heaps more to come but the beta tag was just us saying "it's not finished!" and we didn't feel it was necessary any longer.
Any update on the possible free skill reset for SAS Zombie Assault 4?
It's probably going to happen but we don't want to keep giving out free skill resets for any future changes. When it's done it will likely be something like "1 reset per character" that applies to all characters (even when you create them in future). None of this is set in stone and is still being discussed.
Why was the Candyland track different between the Flash and Mobile versions of Bloons TD 5?
No interesting story or fact about that, they just are :) Mobile and Flash versions aren't intended to be exactly the same in every way.
How long until the Super Monkey plushies are shipped out?
We've reached out to Ntensify to check and it looks like 2-3 weeks at most. Depending on shipping it could be earlier but we should only overshoot January a little if at all.
Will the free offers for NK coins be returning?
Nope. I've answered this a few time. At this point there are no plans at all to bring back free offers.
Any information on adding some sort of cloud save for BTD5 and BTD Battles mobile?
These games won't be getting the same treatment as Bloons Monkey City and SAS Zombie Assault 4 mobile, but it is something we'd like to address properly in the future. Unfortunately no other info to give about that yet.
Where did you guys get the inspiration to name the site Ninja Kiwi?
Ninjas are cool and we're kiwis ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Any plans for [game idea] Suggestion contest?
Contests for fan created content is something we've talked about a bit more lately (and we did it for a BTD5 track a little while back) but no plans to announce there.
Will there be a second city on iOS?
Will there ever!
p.s. Isn't an update train way cooler than an update pie?
