OK so I leaked a gameplay vid of this last week and now the real thing is live.
Basically Power Pinball is in the same vein as Power Pool and Power Golf. Take a game I like but am no good at and turn it into something I like even more, but ultimately am still not that good at
Pinball is essentially a game about lots of noise, lights and tremendous scores. Power Pinball I believe takes off where regular pinball falls short. And we got rid of those annoying “lose” channels that so many pinball machines have!
This game has a bit of depth so if you find yourself losing with a score of less than 1 Million, persevere, a whole bunch of neat stuff gets unlocked as you play on.

Update: There is a scoring bug that seems to occur at around 1.5Billion points and this is due to a score encryption routine we use. Apologies for that. It was brought to my attention by An avid player by the name of Ron who, as you can see by the attached screenshot, clearly kicks some ass in this game!

What a good game, but Mom walked in on me while I was playing and embarrassed me so badly that I don’t think I will be going back to it!

This is a very good game (except that it is frustrating sometimes). I got 20,000,000 points, which is on the High Scores list!

It looks like fun, but I find that the launch is rarely powerful enough to get the ball into play. I have only managed to start play once. Any hints?

-Brainfade, sorry the instructions should have been a bit clearer. You need to hold down the down arrow.

Sorry Chris, that is not it. Even if I hold the down arrow key down is still does not launch it. I guess that you mean that when you press the key and wait it builds up the power, and then it releases the ball when you release the key. For me the ball is released as soon as I touch the key, holding it down just causes a repeated firing noise.
If it helps, I am using firefox on Ubuntu Linux.

Yeah I think flash still doesn’t run very well on Ubuntu, I’ll fire off a quick email to Adobe

Oh my…this is way too addictive
But at the same time it lasts too long. I’m at 259.000.000 points now and still have 23 balls left. You really have to be persistent and have a lot of time to top the high score list.
