Well, after god only knows how many email requests, blog comments and other shouts, Bloons Tower Defense is arriving soon to the Apple store. Now when I say soon, I’m actually saying 4-6 weeks.
This version of the game will be based on Bloons Tower Defense 3 with a few new tracks chucked in for good measure. The game is playing well and we just need to get a couple more things right before the fairly lengthy testing process starts. Personally I can’t wait, and it looks like September is going to be temporarily renamed Poptember in the office as other BTD related happenings may also occur

Hey this game is really good i like it a lot I’m the last rank and everything I’m a good player i made it to level 29 it was hard because of the devils and they’re resurrecting powers to make robot zombies i think but I’m not sure if this is a glitch or not on the new map if u get into the far left area were you get the shotgun and G3, but in the room atop of that one the one that’s right on its right the one with 2 window well zombies will randomly spawn in there and I don’t mind it or anything, but it might get to annoy me later in game play so yaaaa… Also i read some of the blogs and i like the buddy AI idea also i thought about it what if you made him and you could buy a perk for him that makes him reload the turrets for you and you can buy him guns or something and he dose whatever he wants to do maybe and if he dies you can revive him and on more thing that would be cool to me if you could buy more AI buddy’s maybe a max of 4 or 5!!

I would LOVE to see btd on the palm pre I and I’m sure alot of others went with the cheaper pre as much as I wanted an ipone. I’ve beat all but one btd3 mode on hard and that’s that one haunts my nightmares still haha

- Justin, BTD for iTouch/iPhone is based on BTD3, there won’t be any new tower types but there are more maps. As for the BTD4 “update” that’s unlikely because there are far too many differences between the too

It means it’s in the approval queue. Apple have a bunch of stuff submitted all the time for checking and approval. The process is 1-2 weeks long.

Jack. Nothing really. Tap defense is pretty much the best tower defense game for iPhone till BTD comes out. You can try geodefense. It’s kinda hard. There is a lite version. Full versions 1.99$. Then there is geodefense swarm for 0.99$

only bad thing is the fact that it is hard to put the towers at a very specific space because the gaps are extremely small and it is hard to select things sometimes, other than that it is great.

Hi Chris,
I love BTD3 on iphone and spent most of the day yesterday watching football and beating the first three levels on hard. How you got this thing to not lag one bit.. pure genius. How it outperforms my high performance computer lag-wise, pure confusion.
A few ideas..
As mentioned above, when in a desperate situation it’s impossible to lay multiple tacks or even pick tacks over glue half the time. What if the icons order could be changed (by the user) to avoid this.. and also for the items on the right.. perhaps there could be an option to click the button to lock it in, and then lay tacks (while the button remains pushed) just by touching the screen with no drag action? In effect, allowing swift tack defense(or glue or pineapple) just by repeatedly tapping the screen.
That’s it really.. and if I had a boss, he’s be pissed by how long my bathroom breaks have become!

-Jack, it’s an interesting idea, but it could be problematic at times with accidental placement. We are pushing an update which we hope will help but unfortunately tacks are a particularly tricky thing to get right in BTD iPhone.

If you can have the button as a push on/off feature for tacks, pineapples, and glue..
1. I’d rather have an accidental tack than just one when I need ten.
2. Currently, I have about 3 accidental glues when I need tacks.
Seems like it’s a good trade off. Different behaviors for different buttons on the same screen. If permanent items like monkeys behave the same, yet only immediate items with the push on/off feature.. perhaps that would be the best of both worlds?

Hey, I bought the app, a while back, and I played it a bit. Then I played it through once today, and I got to level 93
Then my iPod died 
. I had the entire screen full of supers fully upgraded, and had over 1.5 million in the bank 
What you do, when you start buying supers, set every third (preferably ones near where the bloons come out) to target last, and just use supers after level 30ish. It takes a while, but you don’t have to watch it most of the time, as I’d guess it’s impossible to die. It was awesome
