Ok here’s another couple of screenshots for you guys to get your teeth into. We still don’t have a release date yet but I will let you all know when we have something we’re confident of reaching. In the mean time you’ll have to keep practicing your tower defense strategies.
OK this is a screenshot showing the new unlock process we've decided to introduce into the game. This allows a little more of a learning curve for new players and offers a little more suspense for seasoned hands.

Something that would be quite comical would be if after every level you get awarded so many Kiwi Points, and after a set amount of Kiwi Points you would be able to unlock new things like new towers, and new modes like insane (similer to SAS: Zombie Assault, go until you lose with lots of bloons). I really like the BTD trilogy (soon to be a series).

omg tyvm chris. My day has been going great and this was some great icing on the cake. Game looks awesome although the graphics still kinda bug me, just too acrylic looking. Still looks like it’s gonna be great and Ill be no lifeing and having fun with it as soon as it comes out.

-Revan career rank will probably be3 renamed “Rank” at this stage rank 25 will mean you have unlocked all tower types and all upgrades as well as both bonus play modes. There will be no multiplayer mode at this time.

I really like the Screenshot,
but the Bloons look smaller for some reason.
I have nothing else to comment about BTD4 because i dont have
any ideas, the towers are all done, the bloons are all done,

The bloons are probably smaller so that more new (not in BTD3) bloon types can fit on the path if each bloon color gets bigger.

I dunno if it’s too late to implement new ideas, but how about an upgrade for the tackshooter which turns it from an 8 shot weapon into a 16 shot weapon (ie: 16 different directions)

RBE stands for “Red Bloon Equivalent” and is used internally for a few things as well as giving you an idea of the money value and difficulty of the coming level.

Thanks for adding the save game option! Yesterday i got to level 86 with all 100 lives and i could have gotten farther… but i got bored and only had time to finish one more round. So i decided to stop and do something else.
I played for 12 hours just to get that far!
But when BTD4 comes out, there will be a way to save the game so that you can take a break and go back to it later.
My goal is to finish freeplay someday, and it will probably take weeks just to reach the last level, so being able to save will allow people to do it!

1. We always do what we can within our technical capabilities to limit lag. We’ve made some good progress with BTD4 but there will always be some slowdown at the higher levels, there’s just so much stuff going on.

chris,about rubber bloons even if it is way too late
sharp things like darts, spike o pults, and tacks do nothing,however they do once they are frozen. u see in real life if u freeze a rubber band it dosent work any more. so this would make people diversify their towers. instead of just getting tack shooters, cannons, and super monkeys like i do. Although i think things like lightsabers and super monkey’s plasma vision shold be able to destroy it as well.
i mean think about it it makes perfect sence and is a perfect match:
lead bloons in the td games = silver tiles in regular bloons games
ceramic bloons in the td games = brown tiles in regular bloons games
rubber bllons in the td games = black tiles in regular bloons games
also just a thought maybe u could include glass bloons cuz of the glass container the rainbow bloons come in in the “regular bloons games”

How to beat level 60 and probably get even farther:
Start by adding five tack towers and upgrading them fully, placing them in strategic locations. Then get two cannons near the beginning to get those lead bloons without pineapples. Then just fill the screen with tack towers adding another cannon if a lead bloon gets past the other cannons. It’s also a good idea to add cannons near the end for thinning excess crowds. Do NOT add supermonkeys! My record is a whopping 16 rounds farther without any supermonkeys and the reason seems to be that supermonkeys make more M.O.A.Bs come in bigger streams Finally, for streams of more M.O.A.Bs than you can handle on your own, use pineapples to burst them and thin out the thick crowds that come after it bursts.
If you want to know why i think supermonkeys bring more big streams of M.O.A.Bs just say so and i will explain.

- David, glue shooter is a shooter not an area of effect, but has a pretty tasty upgrade. Can also affect whites, which ice towers can’t.

C M – thanx 4 commenting about level 60 on track 1 easy mode. My strategy sounds almost exactly like yours except i dont put one cannon on the end and buy at least 1 fully upgraded supermonkeys and 2 laser vision supermonkeys all with full range which i think is a bit of a waste of 1800 bucks. also i love to buy the beacon upgraded.ill try it w/out supermonkeys and c how that goes. but i could not imagine how difficult it must be popping moabs without super monkeys. thanx for your advice. but answer these questions:
1)is a monkey beacon a waste and will buying too of them w/ jungle drums increase towers more than a single m b would.
2)is it a good idea too use the secret weapon on the monkey beacon or is that a waste of money.
3) i like to put most towers in the front especially tacks and cannons so they always have an effect. also i think cannons need to be on “last” priority. is this a good strategy.

First of all, fighting M.O.A.Bs with tack towers is easier than it seems because while tack towers hit the first, last, and all those other bloons at once, supermonkeys only hit the first or last bloons. Also tack towers are way cheaper and you can fit more on the screen.
the reason you put a few cannons near the end is because cannons are basically pineapples getting shot every few seconds, but not as powerful,=excellent crowd thinners.
1) two monkey beacons with the same towers in range would increase their speed and range by twice as much, but monkey beacons cost a lot and they seem to have the same effect as supermonkeys on M.O.A.Bs, but milder so i recommend not buying one.
2) the monkey storm is a waste of money. instead of using the storm, (which only gets about half the money back at the most) learn to time the pineapples correctly and use them. (they get much more money back than they cost in crowds.)
3) with tack towers it doesn’t do anything switching the target priority and cannons are best aiming for the crowds and M.O.A.Bs (which are usually at the front so it will be slightly more effective if you leave the target priority as it is).
4) two stories that have me convinced supermonkeys bring more blimps:
1: one time i was trying to break my record on freeplay. i beat round 64 without any supermonkeys just like i normally do. usually i don’t add any until near the 70′s, but i added one at round 65 for once, which normally has a stream of around 15 with lots of little streams in between, but as soon as i added a supermonkey and hit start round a BBBIIIGGG stream of at least 40 M.O.A.Bs in a row came! i had to sell about 5 towers to get the money to use about 100 pineapples, sell a few more so i could get a monkey beacon and upgrade it to monkey storm, use the monkey storm, use MORE pineapples and use the monkey storm again just to avoid game over! it took so much out of me and my towers that when another stream of only 8 came, i couldn’t handle it and lost!
(there are streams that big in the 70′s and 80′s, but by then i can handle them due to having hundreds of tack towers.)
2: it doesn’t even have to be freeplay! one time my dad just beat round 44 while he was showing someone the game. then he showed him what supermonkeys were by building one. as soon as he clicked start round a stream of 5 M.O.A.Bs came! normally on 45 there are none!
one last thing i forgot to mention: before you start a round, keep about 750 spare money in the 60′s and 1000 spare money in the 70′s or farther so you can afford enough pineapples in case of big streams at the beginning of a round.

i agree with c m,super monkeys cost WAAAY to much lol…they made the game like that…nobody would do that on accident…i think…anyways,i got a GOOD stradegy to help for begginners and pro’s!get anm ice tower by round 35 and upgrade it all the way,get another ice tower a few levels later,place them streteeglicly.if theres NO lag its even better
.also,place them at the begginning and beg./mid. and dont put any cannons or anything next to it.upgrade them as fast as possible…it will freeze bloons and if no lag,once there unfrozen thele move a milimeter and then freeze again XD when all the bloons reach the end of the freeze tower,other bloons would get bye when its reloading,but atol wouldnt!also,alot of other bloons would be at all the freeze towers and then use 5 pinaples to take out the popped bloons from the MOAB’s YAY!hope this helped

a super monkey shooter that can only shoot in one direction every 10 seconds but will follow the line for the whole map and destroy ereything in its path. upgrades would make the monkey bigger and shoot more frequenlty, and destroy leads and ceramics in one

hey for btd 5 couldnt there be an upgrade for a lade shooter were it looked like a dart monkey but had a blade costume on and shot like a super monkey but a little bit slower
oh and also could there be a thing were u could all tower upgrades without having to do other upgrades? AN EXAMPLE u can buy the frag bomb upgrade WITHOUT buying the bigger bombs upgrade

No, I have just seen other TD games charge (in-game) money for moving a tower. This would prevent a player from moving a monkey around to pop all of the bloons. I am sure that moving towers would work if there was a “bad” side to moving towers also that would prevent a player from moving towers around the map and cheating.

I have the same problem with BTD3 where the missle launchers don’t make sound like normal bombs do. I am almost sure this will be fixed in BTD4, with the new texture style and all the new features.
I can’t wait for it to come out! (Still, it is much better to release it later without bugs than sooner with bugs)

1. Definetly a Level Editor in BTD4. It would be great because you could get ideas for maps on BTD5, and other people could play them.

Well, I thought I might give my “Sensible” comment about the new game.
To be honest, I’ve been waiting a long time for this game to come out, and it looks even better than I could have ever imagined. But, there are a few things that you MUST lose that were in BTD3:
1) Monkey Tails: If you wished to place a towe, and that tower was hovering over a Tail, you couldn’t place it without selecting a Monkey. This was a major (Annoying) hassle, and should just be dropped completely. Keep the tails, but for the love of gawd make them just art please
2) Super Monkey Range: I don’t know if this is just me, but on some levels were thaere a straight lines of M.O.A.B’s, the Super Monkey’s Epic/Super Rang only lasts a few short centimeter’s, whereas if there are plain bloons (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, etc etc) the range will workj just fine, but it’s probablby just a bug on my computer
I’ll probably add more later. Just reply and I’ll see what there is to say

besides rubber bloons just got a great new idea for btd4 or maybe 5
WATER BLOONS u no like the water balloons u throw at people and explode on them and make them all wet. this is a perfect addition to my underappreciated ideas that r great but nonone likes them cuz their to jealous about the fact that they didnt think of it first.
anyways u would be able 2 freeze them cuz just like rubber bloons theeze ones r defeated by freezing as well. u no like water freezes dahhhhhhh. also they would be defeated by something electric hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm …… i noo like lightsabers. cuz water conducts electricity. either one of these would work u choose.
one of my not so great bloon ideas would be glass bloons cuz of in the original game how helium bloons come in the glass containers.

I’ve never coded, I can’t stand it, but I really enjoy game design. So BTD4 has been a collaborative effort between me, Stephen (as technical lead) and another guy we have working for us who is an awesome multi-skilled fellow.
1) There will always be some lag at higher levels, flash doesn’t handle lag very well but it’s been getting better and BTD4 is a big improvement on BTD3.
2) I’m the co-founder of Ninja Kiwi, my brother Stephen and I made all the early games by ourselves but we’re now a team of 6. My main role now is game design and managing the business side of things. I used to do all our early horrible art but now we have artists

First of all I want you to know this is my opinion:
I think bloons tower defense 3 is great and anyone that plays will gat addicted to it. I think people can be satisfied with it for a little longer until 4 is done. 4 will definitely be the best game I’v ever played, but until then stop complaining and be thankful for what you have(Which is 3).
Now that that is off my chest here I go:
1.I love all your ideas for towers and bloons. Mostly the the light saber
2.I’m wondering, will there be an upgrade better then plasma vision, because I don’t think the game could take that.
3.Will the RBE include hits to kill multiple hit bloons, like a MOAB or a brown?

I do like the new art style. It is just the same but with more texture and detail added.
To continue with the colored bloon ideas, I think it would be fun to see a golden bloon, with 5 lead bloons inside, in BTD5.

My strategy for chains of moabs is to get tacks and bombs during the 1st 20 levels, then save money in the 30s and buy a S.M. ASAP, upgrade it: lasers, plasma, super range, epic range, all ASAP then get a M.B. upgrade it Monkey Storms and sell it, then call storms when necessary.

maybe you can just reconfigure BTD3 so that there’s a toggle to make the levels run backwards: the bloons run in the reverse direction, but in the same configurations and sequences. Kind of like in Super Mario Cart in the Special Cup. That would increase playability of BTD3 and give you some more time to finish BTD4.

Does bloon tower defense 4 lag for anyone? Its unplayable for me, my dart freezes and the bloons just pass on through on round 1.

Its so much better than BTD 3. I dont have serious lag until mid 70′s. But the best part is that the game does not seem to favor the bloons when lagging, the towers seem to fire at normal rate.

Am I the only one who can’t play this game? I can play any other game on this site, but for some reason every time I try to load BTD4 up it loads the add, and then the screen goes white and that’s it! This is very frustrating. I am using a small DELL laptop, not sure if that matters, is it a flash issue?? Do I need A Mochi games account to play? BTD3 plays fine, granted with a bit of lag. Is it the sheer number of people playing? Please respond I am at my wits end. THX

Well, it’s finally out and after getting to Lvl. 50 this gae is getting a little bit boring.
Tips for BTD5:
1. Make them go just as fast without a fastforward.
Explaination: When first starting or on apocalipse mode I get bored at the begginging because they’re moving so slow and the fast forward only helps a little bit.
2. Make it easier when you’re done beating it.
Explaination: When on ?Lvl. 73? You send out 5 BTB’s which no one is really prepared for it that’s when I up get slaughtered.
3. Have links to the other BTD games
Explaination: I am done with this game and want to play other games if you put links to the other BTD games I will want to play your games.

BTD4 is the best internet game EVER! I really hope that you make BTD5. You should be able to pause the game, ‘cuz i have to do something else while playing BTD4, and when i come back it’s GAME OVER. Also, I got sort of a slow, Linux computer, and when i push fast forward in BTD4 it goes the normal speed as in BTD3. So i think that you should have fast forward and super fast forward.
OHHHHHH…, that new game “Bloons Super Monkey is fun, and you should put Plasma Whip on BTD5.

If you press the menu button(Which has a picture of a menu and cursor) on your keyboard and change the quality to low then ff should work a bit and while your holding the ff button and u right click you wont have to hold it

For sure there’s gonna be a 5th? awesome! the 4th rocks but i have a few suggestions for improvement in 5.
1. Flashbang Launcher
Description: an upgrade of the MOAB mauler, same effects as before but any bloons not popped are briefly stunned, like an ice tower
2. A track with multiple paths that never intersect, and a track with the path around the edge of the screen with only the middle for your towers
3. Gale Force
upgrade of Super Monkey Storm, hits the whole screen and eliminates everything but MOABs and BFBs, which are blown back to the beginning of the track.
4. Creator
Description: Upgrade of the Sun God, fires twice as fast and 5 shots in one instead of 3.
And finally different weapons for the towers, like knives for dart monkeys instead of darts, with each one having different stats
